SABMiller plc (ADR) (OTCMKTS:SBMRY): Reports Unaudited FY14 Results, Revenue Declined

SABMiller plc (ADR) (OTCMKTS:SBMRY), one of the leading brewing company, today reported its unaudited financial results for 12 month period ended March 31, 2014. The company reported around 1% year over year decline in its Group revenue which was reported at $34,084 million for FY14 as compared to $34,487 million for FY13. FY14 revenue declined by 4% to $22,311 million as compared to revenue of $23,213 million reported for FY13. The company reported around 1% year over year decline in its Group net producer revenue which was reported at $26,719 million for FY14 as compared to $26,932 million during FY13. EBITA grew 1% year over year to $6,453 million during FY14 as compared to $6,379 million during FY13.

SABMiller plc (ADR) (OTCMKTS:SBMRY) reported 2% growth in its adjusted profit before tax during FY14 to $5,712 million as compared to $5,597 million for FY13. Profit before tax improved 3% to $4,823 million during FY14 as compared to $4,679 million during FY13. The company reported 2% increase in its adjusted earnings which were reported at $3,865 million for FY14 as compared to $3,772 million for FY13. The company reported adjusted earnings of 242 cents per share for FY14, up 2% as compared to adjusted earnings of 237.2 cents per share reported for FY13. Basic earnings for FY14 were reported at 211.8 cents per share as compared to basic earnings of 204.3 cents per share reported during FY13, which suggest a year over year increase of 4%.

SABMiller plc (ADR) (OTCMKTS:SBMRY) reported substantial 21% year over year decline in its free cash flow which decreased to $2,563 million during FY14 as compared to $3,230 million during FY13. The company hiked its dividends by 4% to 105 cents per share during FY14 as compared to 101 cents per share in FY13. The stellar FY14 performance was largely attributed to company’s businesses in its developing markets including Latin America and Africa alongside its associate in china.
