GlyEco Inc. (OTCMKTS:GLYE): Announced Lead Director Appointment

GlyEco Inc. (OTCMKTS:GLYE) today announced the appointment of Dwight Mamanteo as its Lead Director, effective immediately, so as to ensure and improve corporate governance. Mr. Mamanteo has already been serving on the Company’s Board of Directors since January 2014 as an independent Board member. He is also a member of the company’s Audit Committee and Compensation Committee and Chair of the Governance and Nominating Committee. Mr. Mamanteo is a renowned portfolio manager. The company is committed to strong, independent leadership on its Board and hence it implemented the “Lead Director” position.

As a Lead Director of GlyEco Inc. (OTCMKTS:GLYE), Mr. Mamanteo is expected to work closely with John Lorenz, the Chairman of the Company. He will serve as a liaison between the Chairman and Independent Directors of the company and coordinate with committee chairs to ensure effective implementation and execution of board responsibilities. He will also responsible for facilitating communication between the Company’s Board and Senior Management. Mr. Mamanteo’s responsibilities will also involve calling for special meetings or executive sessions of the Board, approving Board meeting agendas and schedules and calling and presiding meetings / executive sessions of the independent directors.

(OTCMKTS:GLYE), John Lorenz expressed that Mr. Mamanteo is an experienced director and his inputs will help to further improve the governance practices and reputation. The expansion of his role will help to enhance the company’s internal and external corporate structures. With enhanced corporate governance, the company can shift focus into the next stage of development emphasizing sales and production. The company has greatly increased its capacity at all seven processing centers with required infrastructure to run high volumes of recycled glycol.
