DP World (OTCMKTS:DPWRF): Celebrates Grand Opening Of Operations In Brisbane
DP World (OTCMKTS:DPWRF)’s DP World Brisbane and a Cargotec OYJ (OTCMKTS:CYJBF) group company, Navis, LLC today announced an opening of the new DP World Brisbane terminal which will be one of Australia’s most sophisticated terminals. DP World Brisbane also celebrated the official opening of the semi-automated terminal in Brisbane together with another Cargotec group company, Kalmar which provided the operational backbone for the project in which DP World Brisbane has incurred EUR 166 million (AUD 250 million) worth of investment.
Kalmar has provided 14 Kalmar Automated Stacking Cranes and 14 Kalmar Shuttle Carriers which are integrated with Navis N4 TOS (Terminal Operating System) as well as third party PDS (Position Detection Systems) for shuttle carriers. Such operational sophistication at DP World (OTCMKTS:DPWRF)’s Brisbane terminal will position the Port of Brisbane at the forefront globally.
Navis N4 TOS implementation at DP World Brisbane now completes optimization and standardization of the TOS software across all DP World Australia sites with DP World Brisbane being the fourth member of the DP World Australia to go live on Navis N4 TOS.

DP World (OTCMKTS:DPWRF)’s Brisbane terminal has a TEU capacity of 900,000 which represents the capability to handle 90% of the TEU handled by the entire Port of Brisbane, annually. DP World Brisbane will soon be recognized for its world class semi-automated facility as N4 TOS will aide improvements in safety, reliability, productivity and efficiency at the terminal.
Chief Operations Officer of DP World Australia, Mark Hulme extended thanks to the Navis, LLC team for its support and partnership during this high stakes project.
